Our Favorite: White Flowers

Our Favorite: White Flowers

So Memorial Day has come and gone and those who strictly follow dress etiquette know that means it’s now okay to wear WHITE!  So, we thought it would be fun to continue our flower color series by sharing our favorite white flowers.  Of course peonies are on the list (since we’re all about peonies this time of year!), but we have our tried and true favorites too like hydrangea and mini-calla lilies.

Our Favorite White Flowers

“Festiva Maxima” Peonies //  White Hydrangea  //  “White Dove” Rose  //  White Mini-Calla Lily  //  White Ranunculus  //  White Carnation  //  White Spider Mum  //  White Amaryllis  //  White Gerber Daisy  //  White Oriental Lily  //  White Lisianthus (by request)  // “Princess” Spray Roses  //  White Sweet Peas  //  White Freesia  //  White Mini Cymbidium Orchid  //  White Anemone  // White Fringed Tulip  //  White Lilac

White flowers look great with any color and can give a nice bit of color relief to break up darker colors or provide a transition between lighter tones.  They can also look great on their own if you want to create a perfectly pure and clean palette and we also love combining them with silver and gold accents around the holidays because white flowers are perfectly acceptable after Labor Day or really any time of year!

We hope you like our favorite white flower picks.  Let us know what your favorites are!

Cheers,

Ellie

Our daughter is getting married June 12, 2015. (South Carolina) Do you think peonies would be available? Also – can I really do the flowers myself?? with my very limited artistic talents? She envisions white/greens/lightest pinks. Very limited budget as well. HELP!!

Hi Becky! Congrats to your daughter and thanks for stopping by! Peonies should still be available in June so that won’t be a problem at all. As for doing flowers yourself, it is possible to do! We help a lot of brides every day plan their wedding and even for those with minimal skill, we can help you choose blooms that will be easier to arrange and that will fit your budget. Email us (info@flowermuse.com) and our wedding specialists will be happy to help!
