Easter is almost here and the classic flower for this time of year is the lily. Thought lilies were just lilies? Well here’s a quick Lilies 101 overview. There are MANY types of lilies, but this chart shows you the most common types used for cut flowers (click on the image to enlarge):
Lilies are a classic flower that is easy to arrange in a vase and look great on their own. Use 5-10 stems in a tall vase to create a large bouquet and for smaller arrangements, cut blooms off to add to a bridal bouquet or use in a centerpiece. The large bloom size will help give volume to your design and lilies come in so many colors other than the classic white or pink.
Lilies are always shipped with closed blooms so they don’t get damaged during the trip. This allows you to enjoy one of the best things about them: you can watch the entire blooming process!
